Friendship transcends divides.
2Strings
I founded 2Strings as 14 year old kid in Northern California with the goal of building empathy in our world. Our society is plagued by an inability to listen to and talk with people who do not have the same background and opinion as we do, leading to our societal separation. We all benefit on a personal and societal level when having empathy for the people who are building the world alongside us. We will also likely find that we have lots more in common with others than we may have expected.
With 2Strings I have created research-backed curriculum for building empathy for kids from different cultural, political, racial, religious, socioeconomic and geographic backgrounds. We have ultimately facilitated in-person programming for over 500 kids. 2Strings has three non-profit hubs connecting communities within California, South Africa and Israel. Within each of these communities we connected with educators from 20+ schools on integrating 2Strings partnerships to their yearly curricula. We also delegated and trained teenage ambassadors who developed skills in communication, leadership and empathy.
2Strings creates a society more capable to succeed. Our mission comes from the open-mindedness of kids meeting each other on a playground – rather than greeting one another with bias they do so with empathy. Their friendships transcends divides.
